Being Russian born I have been fortunate enough to enjoy massive amounts of Russian Candy from a young age. Russian's love their candy almost as much as they love their Vodka. Walking into a Russian household you will always find a bowl of candy on their dinner tables along with the usual black tea of course. In California you can actually purchase these yourself on Geary Street in San Francisco and on Fairfax in West Hollywood as well as many places in Sacramento. The original post was on this blog here.
