BACHELORETTE WEEKEND PART 2: THE DECOR

In the beginning stages of planning for this big weekend of mine not only was the location, and the theme important but the decor was key. I am usually not a big fan of pink and only own a few pieces in that lovely shade.

The inspiration for the pink came from the cutest blog banner from Jenny Branch Stelling and of course I love reading her blog and looking at all her photos. It's a perfect combo of girlish vintage and refined style. You can see more here. The other part of my decor inspiration came form this super cute blog post. This is another one of my favorite blogs that I read on a daily basis and it's jam packed with great ideas and finds.

For the favors my sister and I hit up our favorite little antique store to get teacups with matching saucers. I wanted to keep them all because they were just so lovely and perfect in their own way. Leslie always has such great finds with really great prices and I have spent lots of my hard yearned dollars at her shop. Unfortunately Leslie is not quite hip on the idea of having and maintaining a website yet (until I change her mind that is) but you can see a bit of information on her shop here.

I spent the week prior to the weekend festivities making lots of tissue flowers and hitting up the 99 cent store for last minute decorations. In the end I must say my sister and I did a great job decorating the rental home and we treated ourselves to some delicious crepes from a local french creperie in Santa Barbara after all the decorating was completed. I will be writing about this crepe spot in my next post.
