THE WEEKEND AHEAD & A DIY PROJECT

I've got quite a full Sunday planned for myself and for my Maid-of-Honor. We will be driving out to my wedding venue, dropping off all my silver and pewter, making some measurements and going over last details with Kelly our coordinator.

Then I am off to West Hollywood to the Russian shops to get some yummy sweets that will be added to the dessert table at the wedding. Half of the table will have Norwegian Sweets and the other Russian Sweets. I wanted to highlight a little of our heritage from each side of the family.

Then I am off to downtown LA to meet with Miss Tashina one of my stylists. We will be comparing our finds and going over last minute decoration details. Lastly I will be meeting with Camron our Videographer at the CoffeeBarLA to go over which moments we want captured throughout the wedding day.

On another note I wanted to share a DIY project that I worked on for the wedding. I purchased this item at the Antique Alley in Santa Barbara while on my Bachelorette Weekend Getaway. I knew right away that I would use it for the wedding as a card collector on the gift table.

The make-up case cost $28, I already had the fabric for the lining. Purchased the crocheted trim at Joann's for $6 , the velvet ribbon also from Joann's for $3 and I had the paper and sticker letters from my card making supplies.

Altogether the project cost me $37 and I am quite pleased with the outcome. I will be sharing one more DIY project next week that also ties into my weekend in Santa Barbara and the wedding.
